RICK HUTCHESON RECEIVES SUPPORT FROM
CALIFORNIA DESERT ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS
Palm Springs, CA, June 18, 2007 – Candidate for Palm Springs
City Council Rick Hutcheson announced today that he has received a
$1000 campaign contribution from the Political Action Committee of
the California Desert Association of Realtors.
“I’m grateful and honored to have the support of my colleagues
in the real estate community, and look forward to being an independent
voice on City Council for all Palm Springs residents,” said Hutcheson,
who serves on both the Palm Springs Planning Commission and Police
Advisory Board.
“Protecting the value of Palm Springs real estate for property
owners must be an urgent priority for Palm Springs City Council,” added
Hutcheson, who also is co-owner of Greater Palm Springs Realty, a real
estate sales firm, and Vacation Palm Springs, a property management
company.
Hutcheson stresses the importance of real estate and related industries
in Palm Springs as a keynote in his campaign, noting that property
taxes represent the single largest contributor to the city budget. “The
value of our home is our number-one investment,” Hutcheson said. “For
