For Immediate ReleaseContact: Rick Hutcheson PALM SPRINGS CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE RICK HUTCHESON RAISES $115,000 IN FIRST HALF OF 2007Palm Springs, CA, July 2, 2007 – Rick Hutcheson, candidate for Palm Springs City Council, announced today that his campaign has raised more than $115,000 in donations for the period of January 1 through June 30, 2007. “I’m very grateful to the hundreds of people who support the balanced approach to leadership I advocate for Palm Springs,” said Hutcheson. “This approach, combined with my experience, has helped me achieve and surpass my fundraising goal for the first half of 2007.” “I will continue to listen to and speak with as many Palm Springs voters as I can,” said Hutcheson, “From knocking on doors, to sending letters, to speaking on the telephone, these generous contributions will make it possible for me to reach more of our citizens in effective ways. And the goal of this communication will be to share my vision for making Palm Springs more prosperous, improving public safety and protecting our unique heritage.” According to Hutcheson’s campaign treasurer, Doug Donenfeld, Hutcheson will file a report with the Palm Springs City Clerk showing more than 300 individual contributors, approximately half of whom made contributions in amounts of $125 or less. “The June 30 financial report is the first clear indicator of support among the eight candidates seeking election to the next City Council,” Hutcheson added. “I’m in this race to win, and to provide experience, a balanced approach and leadership that listens to all Palm Springs voters,” said Hutcheson. “I am very appreciative of all the supporters who made this strong result possible.”
