RICK HUTCHESON GETS ENDORSEMENT FROM SAN BERNARDINO/RIVERSIDE COUNTIES

Candidate for City Council Rick Hutcheson today received the enthusiastic
endorsement of the SAN BERNARDINO/RIVERSIDE COUNTIES CENTRAL LABOR
COUNCIL, AFL-CIO. The largest labor organization in the Coachella Valley,
representing thousand of local workers and retirees, called Hutcheson
the choice for the Palm Springs City Council. Locally their membership
includes active and retired teachers, truck drivers, musicians, firefighters,
farm workers,
engineers, editors, pilots, public employees, nurses, painters and
laborers.
Rick Hutcheson said “I am honored to have support of the AFL-CIO
in our area and I pledge to look out for the interests of all middle
class families in Palm Springs. I look forward to being an independent
voice on the City Council who votes based on what is right for all
of our citizens.”
Hutcheson’s campaign has emphasized his goal of building a Palm
Springs that is both prosperous and liveable, through supporting our
real estate and tourism industries. He has targeted new job growth
and a more diversified local economy through developing businesses
related to renewable energy, green technology as well as leveraging
our Convention Center and International Airport to make Palm Springs
a preferred choice for California association management headquarters.
Rick Hutcheson said “Bringing sustainable jobs to Palm Springs
is necessary for our continued success as a city. Once elected to City
Council, I will work to make bringing good paying, family sustaining
jobs to Palm Springs a top priority for City Council,” said Hutcheson.
Hutcheson’s campaign is receiving broad, non-partisan support
from labor, business, conservation and other diverse groups in the
Coachella Valley.
